He started playing basketball when he was 5 years old, following in the footsteps of his older brother. At the beginning of high school, he was winning championships as the MVP on his team, and was a star on his club team through the Junior NBA league.

Andy Paul Mapangou is a talented rising basketball star from Gabon. After excelling in the sport as a youth athlete, he dreamed of one day moving to North America and playing as a professional athlete. He was selected to represent his country in the 2019 Basketball Without Borders camp in Senegal.

As a well-rounded athlete, excelling in both basketball and rugby, he chose to focus on his basketball career early in high school.

Babacar Sane is a rising star in the NBA G Leauge Ignite team, who's from Senegal. He was discovered by the NBA Academy Africa after he played in the SEED Project Hoop Forum. He's recently entered the NBA Draft and could be one of the first players from the NBA Academy Africa and the BAL.
